The Sunshine Underground

(MissBehavin' in a bondage vest and suede wedged boots from Topshop, Tanktop from Mango, Louis Vuitton purse and Studded skinny denim jeans from Stylebreak)

I love the summer sun. Being a great summer enthusiast, I dread the rainy weather which is the daily situation back here in Manila and while I cannot force the sunshine back here, I can however pretend, thus the brighter than sunshine yellow wall background. I haven't been wearing so much skirts and dresses the past week since I am almost always out and about but I do miss the frills and thrills so I might just again! On a busy Wednesday of major renovations and furniture installation, I opted for a black on black with hint of gray. These denim skinnies with studded patchwork were just so perfect to wear for such occasion as they are majorly comfortable (the denim was soft and not sandpaper-ish which I really really hate) and it fit me quite well. The key to perfect skinnies would be finding a pair that would fit like a glove and at the same time be comfortable enough to move, sit and run around in. This pair was pure perfection! I wore a basic tank top and jazzed that up with a cropped bondage vest from Topshop that I purchased months ago but only got to wear now. I realize now that I have a weird habit of forgetting things I buy and remember only after a long time has passed. I seriously need to improve that really bad habit.

A CLOSER LOOK:

(Rebel with a cause: leather, studs, metal zippers and bondage are key to a tough chick look)
I kept the accessories to a minimum. Wore my never failing LV Speedy in Epi Leather and my ultra comfy suede Topshop wedged booties, which I wore for around 12 hours without any leg or foot pain at all. Studded bangles helped me make the look more coherent as it matched the studded jeans and wore shield glasses to "glam" up the look a wee bit.

My day started super early. I visited Heima, a one of a kind furniture shop which is about 30 seconds away from my house located at the 2nd floor of the LRI Building along Nicanor Garcia Street in Makati. I got cute Victorian style photo frames and a silhouette canvass pillow accent from the store to put as decor in our upcoming Glitterati boutique. I'm coming back next week for this cute print that says, "Keep Calm and Carry On", which according to my addiction to World War II and National Geographic was a motivational poster back in Great Britain during World War II to boost the morale of the people. I love it because the simple statement should be my mantra since I am quite the most tense and anxious person ever. A cute little daily reminder on my wall to wuu-saaa might be helpful to calm me down. Check out more of their stuff at www.heimastore.com
You won't regret it, trust me!

Lastly, as promised here is a teaser shot of our store with me and my business partner taking time off to cam-whore galore after my day of intensive labor. We finally moved in all stocks and furniture and the store is finally about 95% done. We cannot wait to open this August! Stay tuned for that!
