Hello everyone! I am back to my favorite color: PINK for this outfit post, which I must say, was absolutely appropriate from The Clozette Ambassador's Afternoon Tea Party held at Commune over at H.V. Dela Costa Street which was exactly across the building I work in and spend most of my weekday afternoons in. It was a Saturday which meant no work so I decided to trade in my business attire for something more appropriate. The dress code called for Weekend Chic and I made sure to be situationally dressed and therefor sported this pale pink outfit. I committed to the color from head to toe, I must say.

Sweet Little Something
There are times when I like to keep things simple yet feminine and fun. The wonders of dressing up in a monochromatic outfit are endless and it is all about in how you embellish. This time, I decided to keep the otherwise basic look more flirty and girly by adding a hint of blush tones because if anything- I am a girl's girl and well it seemed appropriate for Sunday dressing. I have to admit, there are some days that I feel just BLAH and that is when I have to remind myself that I have to be grateful. You see, as easy as it may be to point out every last thing that you currently do not have, there is ALWAYS something to be appreciative of. A lot of the time, we desire luxuries, situations, finances or people we can't have, completely forgetting about all the treasures we've been granted in life. Even I am no exception when it comes to this. There just some days you are tired and frustrated for no other reason except that you aren't feeling so well. Things to be grateful for having aren't always physical objects. While getting something you've been yearning or saving up for may be great, you simply cannot hold, text and download apps on a loving relationship with your Mom and your Dad, and having good health isn't shiny with nice rims on it... yet it is still most certainly worth being very thankful to have. There is nothing more disappointing than losing something or someone you have taken for granted and realizing then that you didn't appreciate every single moment you had it/them. This is why on days that I don't feel my usual cheerful self, I go back to this thought and get up, get dressed and try to be fabulous... there are so many things to be grateful for...and even I need to remind myself that... On days I feel like that, I put on a basic top, a good skirt, great shoes and a good bag and then I go ornamental. I think that's the first few steps in trying to go along...

Faerie's Wheel
Life is magical. I say that wholeheartedly because despite the many problems we encounter or how "bad" and miserable our day is, at the end of the day, there is always something we find that we can smile about and that is exactly what makes it magical. When we were young, we were told fairy tales and when we got older, the real world had a funny way of catching up with us which made us doubt them but I think that the main reason they continue to exist (or were written in the first place), is because something magical is here and exists that inspired them...And magic can be found in stolen moments. This is exactly what this outfit is all about: enchantment. I had the dreamiest time shooting this outfit which was in every way magical as I was draped in layers and layers of soft chiffon that swayed and moved with me and the wind on the breezy Saturday afternoon that I wore it. Since I was in every way in my own element and revelry, the setting provided to be perfection as I had a Ferris Wheel or as I refer to it, a faerie's wheel, in the background fully complimenting the ensemble.

Smoke and Mirrors.
All Black and Pink.
(Top: Zara | Pants: Moonshine | Shoes: Miu Miu | Bag: Louis Vuitton | Necklace: +RUCKUS)
I wanted to keep a simple and classic look so I went for the staple: ALL BLACK. The outfit I have on has that "jumpsuit" / "pantsuit" effect which was exactly what I wanted to achieve. To do so, I combined a black tube top and high waisted trousers from one of my favorite local brands, MOONSHINE, owned by my friends Kato and Audrey. To make the look not all too somber and plain, I styled it up with pink accessories from my cousin's accessories brand, +RUCKUS and my pink Sparrow Miu Miu satin maryjanes...which I just adore.

Kiss from a Rose
Love remained a drug that's the high and not the pill.
(Shirt: Zara | Skirt: Glitterati | Bag: Topshop | Shoes: Topshop)
Kiss from a Rose inspired outfit...(Seal's song decided to be the first to pop up when I put my ipod on shuffle since I couldn't decide what to wear) and so I dressed and took my cue from the soulful song and let it control how my outfit was to turn out that day. Naturally, I went for the obvious, a mesh rosette Zara sweater in pastel pink that I bought from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection but never got a chance to wear as I soon realized it was too itchy since it was made of elaborately stitched up rosette tulle and had no lining. If you knew me as a kid, I cried over tulle netting and tutu petticoats and inspected every gown and dress meticulously for lining as I found it "itchy" and unwearable. However, now, having grown up, while I still prefer lining, I guess I decided to deal with it and sacrifice a bit of comfort for style. However, I shall retire this shirt and donate it to my mom's closet instead (she has no tulle/ fabric itchiness issues) and loves the blouse she practically tore it from my back when I got home. (Haha, love you, mumum!). I went for the dolled out look and wore it with a chiffon ballerina skirt from my brand Glitterati. Also, found the perfect shoes, purse (also rosette) and pearls to accessorize. The outfit is so elaborate and well.. in theme... I was quite proud of myself. Funny how I can rock out and get dolled up faster than you can press shuffle.
