Peaches and Cream

a little less apples, a little more orange

I love orange! I know it's not really a color most people would like to wear since it instantly directs attention to the wearer, but I love the shade! The resurrection of orange/ rust/ coral/ peach tones have been a major rediscovery of just how fabulous and versatile this color shade is- minus the fake bake/ tan-in-a-can pun.

I am raving about the color so much since it can look glam, elegant, earthy/ natural and electroshocking depending on how you style and accessorize it. A plain old pumpkin hued dress is a promising canvass for a multitude of different styles/ looks you want to create.

On this particular day, I decided to keep it earthy and natural. It rarely gets sunny back here anymore that when the sun comes out, I seriously make it a big deal. Since the sun was majorly cooperating with me today, I decided it was time to whip out the coral. Since I was going more natural, I wore this uneven hemmed orange shift dress with a beige leather vest I got from Zara's most recent sale to somehow neutralize the look. From there, I added a turquoise necklace and some bangles to create a bohemian contrast to the dress. I can never wear turquoise without coral...I don't know why but turquoise on its own always looks off on me...I guess it's because my aura is more fire than water so I can only really get away with it when I combine it with a fiery tone which of course is no problem for me since I am a fan of the combination.

I loved wearing this outfit to work! However, now I need to spend some "me" time to allow myself to recover. I think I've been working too hard and too much for my very defective and weak body to handle that my blood pressure and heart rate have been lashing out on me, yet again!
