This Is A Part Of Me That You Can Never Take Away From Me

Gray Jersey Pleated Dress: Tyler | Strappy Heeled Shoes: S&H | Trapeze Canvas and Leather two-Toned Bag: Celine | Fish Chain Necklace: Mango

Another day, another hospital visit. But, hey, I am not complaining. I see life and light...all the colors of the world... so beautiful... Won't you come with me? (See, silver-lining, and this time, more appropriate as I am in well, silver.) This was a day of chaos of sorts. Looking back, I sometimes feel the need to pinch myself just to believe all this madness had happened in less than 24 hours. It was topsy turvy and THAT is to put it kindly. I had three diagnostic tests performed on me only to end up in the Emergency Room after suffering from a severe allergic reaction from one of my said tests. It's quite a funny thing, having to be hospitalized when you're in the hospital...

(PS: Pardon for scratches on my arm, a result of my very sensitive thin skin)

And as if that was not enough drama, the day ended in quite a not so fine frenzy as one self-righteous yet totally immoral mid-life crisis suffering pathetic excuse for a woman decided I wasn't suffering enough that she just had to add to the commotion. But at the end of the day, everything was fixed...and I survived and lived through the day- Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.

If the purpose of existence is to discover truth and beauty and share our discovery with others, some of us (MIA) are definitely on the wrong track. In our need to achieve and move ahead (or maybe in our need to feel superior...), we have become stingy, cruel and unkind. We have come to believe there is a limited amount of power and success and that if we give anything away or maybe perhaps allow others who truly deserve it to flourish, we will have less. So we develop the not-so wonderful defect on stinginess. I mean who are we to have a say on other people's happiness and success? Correct me if I am wrong but when you are nearing your thirties and barely have $5000 dollars to your name... how is that my problem again? I have gone through hardships, setbacks and disappointments but one thing I take pride over is the fact that I don't drag people down. I am never stingy and I am one who is genuinely happy when people have good things happen to them...regardless of my situation. At the end of the day, isn't that the very core of basic human kindness?

Ultimately, people who do not practice such virtues begin to think they are better than other people... this makes them think they have the right to meddle in other people's lives, thinking if a certain amount of happiness were to become available to others, they are robbed off their own. In the end... they lose.
