Fall Into This.

A take on my favorite fall 2010 trend which involves blue and camel. Ever since I saw Chloe's 2010 Fall campaign, I fell in love. It was such a refreshing comeback that camel, caramel and khaki made after the years and years of fall clothing marked by black, grays and purples. I was semi inspired by a spread I saw at the Zara store the other day while browsing and decided to incorporate the look with basic wardrobe staples I already had on my closet. It turned out quite equestrian, I think, but altogether it was a put together business casual look perfect for a day of errands and rushing back and forth to renew paperwork.

The blazer is a favorite of mine. I've worn it practically a dozen times already and I can't help but stop loving it. I rarely like blue but when I saw this about 3 years ago, I knew I had to have it and so far, I've been able to pair it with almost everything. I wore it this time with brown leather accessories and a pair of khaki brown trousers in corduroy fabric. Very different from the usual look I go for but I hope it worked!

Mood board: The Fall 2010 Trend- CAMEL
(Source:http://www.thefashionables.com/2010/03/camel-rules-the-fall-2010/)

Desert sand, khaki and camel are the bespoke colorful trends of this fashion season. The biggest designers praise the power of these trends and gave us fashion shows with neutral and exotic palette.

Italy left us speechless with the latest trends, especially at the Max Mara fashion show in Milan. The famous brand gave us requisite camel overcoats and they suddenly turn out to be the hit of the 2010 fall season.

The French best companies Hermes and Chloe were also affected by the camel trend, because their latest jackets and skirts were related to camel and all its varieties.

Calvin Klein offered a show with khaki trousers, camel coats and shirts in neutral tones. The desert sand colors, also known as safari trend, are major part of H&M fashion creation this year.

In case you want to add something really modern in your wardrobe this season, try velvet in desert sand or earth yellow.

Don’t miss out to purchase the latest camel accessories, such as belts and bags, especially impressive in the Phillip Lim latest fashion collection.

Hope is not a strategy...

Sunday Morning Fight.
Wore this to watch a Sunday morning boxing match live on streaming video of course at (where else?!?) Attica with my friends.
It was a good change of pace and definitely worth waking up for on the most chill out of days especially since the boxer we were rooting for won.
Who knew I'd enjoy such an adrenaline fueled sport and watching athletes box it out for a title in (and a million dollars)?

PS: So many NEGATIVE comments came from my CHICTOPIA from users after writing that “Who knew that I would enjoy people beating the crap out of each other” in my original post. Apparently to some people, that meant I enjoyed VIOLENCE and promoted it. Beating people up for fun is not something I enjoy/ promote or enjoy at all (I was saying that in the context of boxing which was the main TOPIC of the post in the first place, and if that is unclear to you, I suggest you learn context clues before waging war on someone)… but people beating each other in BOXING… is just what it is… FOR SPORT… Isn’t boxing just exactly that- watching two people beat each other up to win? Is there something so wrong to enjoy the sport???? Retired professional boxer, Sugar Ray Leonard even admits to the essence of the whole sport when he said, “I consider myself blessed. I consider you blessed. We’ve all been blessed with God-given talents. Mine just happens to be beating people up.”

You can’t say you are against violence and have such irrational reactions to a single statement. It’s like saying you are willing to fight and kill people for peace…it defeats the whole idea and contradicts your purpose. Tell me who’s being aggressive and ultimately,a war-freak now?

Please tell me if this, a screen shot of my original post is in any way pertaining to my LOVE for VIOLENCE and PEOPLE HURTING EACH OTHER? I was quite clear... It was about ATHLETES BEATING THE CRAP OUT OF EACH OTHER (Isn't that what boxing, martial arts, wrestling and ANY COMBAT SPORT... really all about???)

And here are two of the very violent reactions I was able to save... (Believe me, there were a lot more meaner)

People have a habit of creating chaos and problems from nothing, seriously. And we all wonder why there is so much EVIL in the world?

All the right moves...

Suede Jacket: Zara
Skirt: Zara
Bag: Topshop

I'm Back to the Daily Grind.
After a week or so off the circulation, I decided to get my butt out of bed and return to life as I know it. The best way to recovery from an illness is denying it exists...and so far so good. Despite the runny nose and chills, it feels great to be out and about. And nothing like the right outfit can make you feel all good...

I am a major fan of the whole "camel" and caramel trend that's been the highlight of most fall 2010 collections and here's my take on that... The suede jacket is from my mom who surprised me with this from Zara back in August. I forgot all about it until I cleaned out my closet, a symptom of neurotic behavior. I paired it with an indigo skirt (also from Zara) which has antique gold buttons which match the chain detail of the jacket. Accessorized with all camel and headed out...

This is my first entry since my self imposed absence (I was recovering from a viral infection) and I missed blogging!
