Neon Autumn

We are entering the Dark Ages, my friend, but this time there were will be lots of neon, and screen savers, and street lighting.

Edward St. Aubyn, Lost For Words

I wore this stabilo themed ensemble  to a lovely dinner to celebrate my grandfather's birthday over at One Way, which is, I have to say- one of the best restaurants I have been to for so long. I was quite happy to have given the chance to attend this family affair because I am usually not invited due to the fact I might get exposed to some allergens from the food and that is a very problematic situation to be in. However, due to my insistent appeal to my mom, she finally gave in and invited me...and even if I did not necessarily get to stay in the private dining area and had to sit outside since there were a lot of things I wasn't allowed to be around... I was still happy to have been there. I guess my life is all about that lately... I prefer spending my time with my family and maintaining a close bond with them. Even if I wasn't entirely part of the entire night, I think it was nice to still grace my lolo with my presence to celebrate his birthday with love and endearment for him. After all, life's too short.

Neon Crayon.
(Dress: Glitterati | Belt: Glitterati | Necklace: Glitterati | Shoes: DAS | Bag: Chanel)

It was quite an orange. coral, citrus hued night as we celebrated Look Magazine's 3rd Anniversary over at the Rockwell Tent. I decided to go all out highlighter orange that night to stand out which backfired in a good way as everyone in my circle of friends decided to come in the same hue! It was so funny but orange seems to be quite the popular shade this season. The louder the better!

Anyway, this mullet dress is from Glitterati's newest collection to be launched soon. I decided to belt it up with another studded Glitterati piece and chain necklace, again from my brand. I then debuted my heel-less DAS shoes which sent me floating mid-air in full geisha mode. It surprises me how I was able to stay upright and not fall at all (if you know me well, you'd know I defy the law of gravity) but this pair was quite comfortable. I credit fine craftsmanship and of course, year of ballet training for this skill.

Keeping it casual with a neon-black-white ensemble for a simple and laidback Sunday out with my brother. Focal point of the look: my zebra print platform sandals courtesy of MISS D! Check out her site over at: MISS D! Shoes and grab your own pair...it's seriously putting statement shoes to a whole new level!

Rock the shocker

First off, I would like to apologize for the lack of updates. I've been feeling a bit under the weather lately, my annual blah season is back and I get really really bad allergies (rashes, sniffles and sneezing continuously) this time of the year when the rain starts pouring in. Naturally, allergies = major cranky disposition and my antihistamines make me really really drowsy, I feel like I'm napping the whole day even if I'm awake till the wee hours of the morning, my mind is always wandering off. I am surprised however that I somehow managed to have willpower to dress up still despite the far and away state of mind I am in. I think that subconsciously, I picked these leggings since they somehow reflect the disorientation happening in my mind.

I bought the pair because the abstract print added with the funky colors meant love at first sight when I saw it. I wanted the emphasis to be on the leggings of course and the new shoes I got from Soule Phenomenon so I kept my tanktop as simple as possible, a favorite black oversized one from Topshop which has never failed me. I never knew it was possible but I am quite amazed at how I did not accessorize this time, save for the leather zipper cuff which counts for none in my world. I guess I am totally not myself at all. I hope to be better soon! Rain rain, go away!

PS: Thank you to everyone who sent me love and messages in my email! I promise to respond as soon as i get better! So don't think I snubbed you!
