Caught off guard

Casual but not quite.
(Jeans: Zara | Tanktop: Zara | Shoes: DAS | Belt: Vintage Italian from Mom)

This day definitely caught me off guard. I originally thought I was in for a sedentary day until work crept up to me and I ended up in 3 different places to blog about rather than being in my bed in a rather vegetative mode. Not that I am complaining as I had quite an amazing day! First stop was My Health Clinic in Shangri-la which was quite fun and very very healthy- will save more of that for my blog entry...Followed by a very relaxing "PAMPER ME" treatment over at Chic Nails and Spa (It was phenomenal....seriously) and then capped off by an open house visit to Icon, a chic new condo development over at the Fort and to end the night, a meet up with good friends over at Draft in the Fort Strip, which was just sinful.

The call of duty, as it always does, came in last minute and I had aout 45 minutes to prepare, so I relied on my trusty skinny jeans (in white...I know, I know its a sin to wear white after labor day, so fine me!) and a layered tanktop. Everything about this look spells: CASUAL except for my ultra fab DAS shoes which instantly glamorized the look. I love how shoes can add that instant star quality to a look. Just add water and stir! Hope it worked. Very differen from my usual glamorama drama filled looks but its all aout variety!

NYFW: Herve Leger S/S 2012

Herve Leger will always be a staple and every celebutante and it-girl's go to dress for body con, body fit teeny dresses which will make you definitely suffer, scream and deprived of oxygen all for the sake of curves. A personal favorite of mine, the brand showcased an amazing lineup for its S/S 2012 Collection. Aside from the mainstays- bodycon dresses, Herve Leger
sent down the runway were combinations of modern tribal African flavor with a bit of tasteful bondage and S&M. Think the canvas fit dress spiced up and embellished with flashy fringe and metallic hardware for a bit of edginess. The outfits were also accessorized with vampy, strappy sandals and the occasional tough-girl motorcycle jacket. Herve Leger’s collection proved that it is possible to improve upon what you’ve already deemed to be perfection – and that it can be a wise gamble to take your chic aesthetic into a bit more of a darker territory, with eye-catching results.

I Covet: Miu Miu’s Noir sunglasses

This is so going on my wish list.

I am absolutely in love with the angular shapes of the Miu Miu Noir’s and think that the matte black Noir’s have my name on them – check out more photos of the sunglasses below, include the current Miu Miu face Hailee Steinfeld.

Even the Queen of Pop,Madonna gives the pair her two thumbs up, being spotted in the pair almost everywhere! Hey, if Madge loves it, I love it all the more.PS: The perks of having first dibs on these... What the queen wants, the queen gets....

Miu Miu’s Noir Sunglasses Collection will be available to purchase around the world in Miu Miu boutiques and select Sunglass Hut stores from January 2012. I am definitely on getting on the list for this!

Hypomanic.

MANIC|DEPRESSIVE: Inner Musings of a Bipolar Mind
(Disclaimer: I mean this in the fashion sense, before any violent reactions occur, I am referring to how confused and confusing me and my BFF's theme was for the night when it came to our dresses, it was short/long, two-toned, etc. Just clarifying.)

Skirt: Glitterati | Mesh Top: Glitterati | Leather bustier: Glitterati | Belt: Grommet by Glitterati | Shoes Soule Phenomemon| Bag: Zara

Anyway, this is a long overdue outfit post as this was my take on "LUXE GRUNGE" which was the theme for the MANGO A/W 2011-2012 Fashion Show over at Resorts World. The theme was such and I reckon I went LUXE GLAM before considering incorporating GRUNGE into the look but I have to give myself credit for the metal detail wedged shoes (so sci-fi), the glittery metallic mesh top with leather bustier under and the studded major thick cinch waist belt. Naturally my favorite piece of the look was the skirt, which will be part of Glitterati's newest collection to be released soon. It was semi-short, semi-long... in other words, the best of both worlds as it was conservative and sexy depending which side you were viewing it from. Also part of the new collection is my bff Nina's dress, which was also featured in MEGA's September 2011 fashion editorial shot in Moscow Russia. Check it out.

PS: I am blogging from an old PC as my Toshiba and Acer laptops both decided to give up on me. I don't care about the units anymore... I just need my hard drive and files back. There are about 7 lagged outfit posts there! SOB. Sorry for any spelling errors as I damaged the keyboard of this spare laptop by being very smart and putting my heated curling iron over it 2 years ago. (Technology fail, that's the story of my life, so what's new!)
