I am all about situational dressing. I personally think that it is absolutely vital to know what to where depending on the occasion and the occasion I wore this outfit to called for flats, as a must and while I do prefer heels, I didn't want to be inappropriate so since the situation called for it, I wore flat shoes instead. The event I wore this ensemble to was the Cocorose Launch here in Manila where my FOSSIL Dominique was a muse and as you all know, I am very supportive and so, I made sure to support her all the way in this outfit and in flat shoes which I wore for the whole day...(I know, shocker, right?) At the end of the day though, I was happy I chose to go and dress up this route as everyone was in flats and it was a strictly flats only event. I would've been totally out of place in my sky-highs so as much as I love my stilettos, it was only appropriate to leave them in my shoes closet, for that day at least.

Dancing in the Sun
Another series of my life is beautiful posts...I am sorry if I keep on harping about it that it almost seems like an advocacy but the one most true and honest thing about me is that because of decisions and changes I took for my own well-being, I ended up in this place where everything I see is quite extraordinary. To best describe it, allow me to borrow from a song, "I see life and light... All the colors of the world... So beautiful... Won't you come with me?...I see birds and trees... All the flowers of the world- So beautiful... Won't you come with me?" and aren't these words the best way to describe this very nature themed shoot and look as inspired by how beautiful the landscape was that surrounded me. This is one of my most natural blog posts to date... I have no extensions, my hair is just unkempt but tied up and I have little to none makeup. Allow me also to mention I have no accessories, save for this pretty Birds of Paradise flower and am in my favorite Mandals. Of course the coordinates I am wearing, provide to be the perfect clothing as well as they are very muted and simple. Do you get the dalagang Filipina vibe in this look? I sure do... And just to prove my point, I do not have to be fierce in every single outfit post. Sometimes, I like to just be carefree and as a reminder: laid back doesn't have to translate to sloppy.

Debate Exposes Doubt
Lil' Miss Prim & Proper
(Blazer: Zara | Skirt: Topshop | Top: Tyler | Bowtie: Anthology | Bag: Marc Jacobs | Shoes: Soule Phenomenon)
I had a big business board meeting and brunch at The Continental in Tower Club so I decided to dress up a bit in my own quirky twist and take on a business suit. Naturally, normalcy is not my style so when I dress up for business... I mean business. And I did so in a black and white striped suit and a pouf-y skirt in black and a white button down blouse. Might seem normal... right? But I added a playful touch with a pink bow tie that I got from Rockwell which was all the accent my outfit needed. I looked a bit "schoolgirl" in the look but this was definitely one outfit I loved that I was able wear as it was a very fun spin on suiting up--- now I know what it feels to wear a bow tie! Concluded all business talk which was a success, as well!

Hope it worked!

Lost...then found.

Plains and Prints.
(Striped Blazer: Zara | Skirt: Glitterati | Tanktop: Topshop | Kneehigh socks: M&S| Shoes: Topshop | Bag: Chanel 2.55 | Accessories: Cultus Chi Chi)
I wore this black and white outfit for a rainy day dinner date over the long weekend at 2nd's where the food was sinful and food coma-inducing. Seriously...it was comfort food at its best! But enough of that, back to the look, I decided rainy day signaled in the return of the knee high socks and boots. I wanted to achieve the the thigh high boots effect so I paired my favorite knee high socks with my ultra high platform suede booties from Topshop.

Searching for a former clarity
I don't have a corporate job and have decided to go through an entrepreneurial route/ career being a fashion brand owner. I dictate my own work hours and schedule, which is why I am free to make time for blogging, shopping etc. It's a good thing since I don't answer up to anyone except my clients but the major downside (the only one I can think of) is never getting to dress business chic. So I decided that while I may not play the part, I will still dress the part which explains the very business chic look (I know, very different from what I usually wear, right?) I wanted to be more serious and classic and I just bought the perfect caramel trousers from Mango which was just perfect for the look I wanted. Another reason I am wearing trousers is that my legs are all bruised for some unknown reason! The blazer is from Zara (Spring Summer 2010) and I practically forgot all about it! Wardrobe intervention and cleanup made me remember to wear it! Sigh.

It was SALE season left and right over the weekend and I am quite proud of myself for not shopping at all despite the strong temptation to binge shop. I guess I practice more self control than I am usually given credit for! Haha.
