Front Row

Burned out stars they shine so bright
All of us
Burned out stars they shine so brightHe's not perfect he's my hero
Smashing the piano
Spitting in the front row
Chronic confrontation
Psychic conversation
Radical compassion
Louder than the action
All of usBurned out stars they shine so bright
All of us
Burned out stars they shine so bright
All the stars

Shoes: Heel-less Das 15 from DAS SHOES

Here's the thing: I love supporting Filipino designers! Especially the young and fresh breed who have all the creative genius that's untapped and still very refreshing to see. I enjoy wearing their creations and the awe I felt when I got a package of his creation is similar to how Carrie Bradshaw felt when she opened the Vivienne Westwood gown personally sent to her... I was in  sartorial heaven... a designer's paradise and it all felt very much like a dream.

This creation with all its avante garde and modern touches and details is something I have been saving for the longest time and this time, I decided to wear it out for a night in Fairmont Hotel and I do hope I styled it accordingly and did not disappoint. The shoes which fit the modern Derelicte theme of the dress was complimented by my equally avant garde heel-less DAS shoes which is somewhat comparable to geisha shoes but granted I've practiced ballet for quite some time, I am used to carrying my body weight on the front soles of my feet. I can skimp, run, jump and hop in these babies! It's a talent.

Speaking of talent, let me share why I absolutely love the designer who designed my dress' creativity. A saying goes, "It is the creative potential itself in human beings that is the image of God." This is a beautiful way to think of creativity! The inability to express creativity means that one is blocking the potential of the flowing of energy to sustain us, to nurture us and ultimately to inspire us. For most people who do too much, creativity has a very low place in their list of priorities...but not my good friend and brilliant designer, Yeye. Some people don't have time to be creative. We postpone being creative (to later...and later...and later). People seldom believe in their creativity, only a few special people believe in their creativity, Yeye Pantelalon being one of them. When I think of his craft, his creative potential and skill, I always feel a deep, profound and intense awe and how proud I am to be wearing his pieces.
After all, if you cannot do something outstanding...it's better to do nothing at all.
He definitely does everything outstanding, and I for one, being an advocate of only the marvelous, am proud to have come across such rare talent.
