Future Fashion Now makes rousing debut at Paris Fashion Week!

Future Fashion Now (FFN), Asia’s first pre-order fashion portal that supports the next generation of designers, wowed a full house at its Paris Fashion Week debut. The event was held on October 2, 2012 at the iconic Cité de la Mode et du Design, a sleek concrete and glass space overlooking the Seine River devoted to fashion, culture, and design.

FFN took the Paris runways by storm as three of its stable designer labels presented their Spring/Summer 2013 collections in front of over 250 fashion influencers and trendsetters. Cité de la Mode et du Design’s intimate space set up provided the guests a closer view of the stunning  designs of Singapore’s Dzojchen and Ong Shunmugam, and New York’s Timo Weiland.

The show was exceptionally well-received by celebrities, media, buyers, designers and fashion industry insiders. Notable front row attendees included French actresses Alma Jodorowsky, Lola Naymark, and Barbara Cabrit; music artiste Singuila; industry leaders Etienne Cochet (President of Paris Capitale de la Creation and Director of SAFI), Cyril Billiard (Marketing Director of FIAT Group), and Katsunobu Tanaka (Marketing Manager of Hermès Sellier Asia); designers Barnabé Hardy, Richard Descours, Britta Uschkamp, and Felicity Price; celebrity jeweller Yoan Silver; and fashion bloggers Harvey Ambomo, Kenza Sadoun, Stéphane Chibon, and Virgile Guinard. Among the international media that covered the event were WWD, Jalouse Magazine, Le Figaroscope, Grazia, Gala Fashion, Vogue Italia, Le Journal Du Textile, Fashion One TV, and TV5 Monde.

“The overwhelming response to FFN’s first international showcase is so awe-inspiring,” said Tjin Lee, Managing Director of Future Fashion Now. “We look forward to continue collaborating with other prestigious fashion weeks, and extend opportunities for our designers to shine and get noticed outside their own countries.”

Singapore’s top model Sheila Sim, also on her Paris Fashion Week runway debut, opened the show and walked exclusively for the three labels. Sheila led the other models showcase Dzojchen’s edgy and crisp blazers, Ong Shunmugam’s modern and elegant Cheongsams, and Timo Weiland’s whimsical designs and fresh colour palette.

The night capped off with an after-party hosted by Belvedere Vodka, a brand associated with iconic fashion events. The super chic soiree gathered a dynamic mix of celebrities, socialites, and fashionistas who sashayed the night away with their bespoke Belvedere cocktails in tow. Acclaimed DJ Stéphane Bourbon de Penthievre from Paris’ most exclusive club Le Baron entertained the crowd with live music throughout the evening.

The S/S 2013 designs of Dzojchen, Ong Shunmugam, and Timo Weiland are now available for pre-order at www.futurefashionnow.com. Order windows open October 2nd to November 17th, 2012.
