Blurry Lines

Blazer: Forever21 | Tanktop: Topshop | Checkered Shorts with Neon Pocket Lining: Vaintage PH | Shoes: H&M | Neon Necklace: Ever New | Bag: Furla Candy Bag

I have always loved Chartreuse. I have been quite vocal about the fact that I am so obsessed with the hue that I have upgraded it as one of my favorite colors. I noticed though that recently, I have also been buying a lot of Chartreuse colored clothing and this outfit, is a testament to that.

People rarely see me in shorts and I absolutely loved the graphic print on this one which I found while shopping the Superb Bazaar last May. What drew me to it were the neon details near the pocket and I knew I had to have it. I wore this casual look to a night out with my boyfriend's friends over at QC, which I realized I have to frequent more often. (I spend way too much time at Makati and BGC, I reckon)

Recently, I have been advocating and talking a lot about the subject of being REAL. I realize too much people have a serious problem with impression management. How much we distort ourselves in trying to please others. We have historically been controlled by the demands and expectations others. We have actually been so willing to let others define us and so eager to fit that definition that we have lost all track of who we are.

Sometimes, the best we can do is be the people we really are, amidst the expectations of who we should be.
