I was feeling in a Navajo state of mind and since the wonderful people behind Chicnova.com had such an amazing design of an outwear which I absolutely love and I knew I absolutely had to have it. I received it almost instantly kudos to the wonderful team behind the brand and instantly I knew it would be perfect for the subzero temperature in the hospital where I have been in hiding for the past week, caring for my sick boyfriend. I made the correct decision and I was right...it was absolutely perfect and I got a lot of compliments that day for how wonderful the coat was.

I love Jay-Z, and thanks to my sister, I was able to read his autobiography which got me a little idea of how he has lived and how talented he is. He is one of those people I appreciate as an artist they do not just do art for art's sake... what he does involves thought processes in it. He actually thinks about what he does. I respect people like that because the tendency is, I can relate because that is how I do things myself as I do think of myself as very analytical and forward- thinking, and people who know me really well can attest to that. My ability to over think is of epic proportions. The good side to this is: I rarely wallow in the misery or regrets of the past because I am wise enough to know that doing so will only waste my time which results to me accomplishing nothing. There is always something new happening in my life... most of them, absolutely unpredictable, whether I realize it or not. On such occasions, it so hard not to look backward and judging something that lies ahead based on the past. Ultimately, being all damaged and broken because of the past and not getting over it... is that not what Post Traumatic Stress Disorder all about? 

Ayn Rand, one of my favorite authors once said, "To achieve, you need thought... You have to know what you are doing and that's real power." What a wonderful thought! Of course, though, since we live in a world of extremes and no middle ground, thinking sometimes takes rap in some circles, and it over-exaggerated in others! As a society, the tendency and trend is that most of us have been so lopsided in rational, logical and linear thinking that many of us have become so confused about the process of thinking. We are very dualistic in our thinking about thinking. What makes me say this? I used to be the same way and sometimes, I still am that way. 

We have come to believe that we must either be cold, calculating, logical and rational persons, or we must throw all thinking out the window and carry the load for all the feeling, intuitive aspects of our society. Either of these choices and "solutions" result in languishing lopsidedness that that leave us wanting for more. Always for more. There is nothing wrong with thinking. Being a self confessed control freak and ISTJ (Introvert, Sensing, Thinking and Judging) according to personality tests, I am used to that kind of life. It's the way I am used to doing things, as I am sure most of people are. Often, when we lead with our logical and rational minds,we have not allowed them to be informed by our minds,we have not allowed them to be informed by our being and and our other thought processes of intuition, attention and awareness. It is in the synergy among all these aspects of our minds that true thinking begins. The ability to think on our own is a great gift, and as with all great gifts, it is not something we should take lightly. Using it,all of it...as much as we can increases its value.

Here is what I have to say: Do not allow yourself to be earthbound because of an event from the past that you wished had not happened. Trust me, all of us have issues with life disappointing us. Perhaps more emphasized in others, but it is all the same. Everyday is a totally new and different experience and you have to...need to treat it as such. The past are chapters we need to close...and as for the rest...  the rest is still unwritten.
