Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs
With the boom box blaring as we're falling in love
I got a bottle of whatever, but it's getting us drunk
Singing here's to never growing up
Call up all our friends, go hard this weekend
For no damn reason, I don't think we'll ever change
Meet you at the spot, half past ten o'clock
We don't ever stop, and we're never gonna change
Say, won't you say forever stay
If you stay forever hey
We can stay forever young
This outfit is a throwback to my style circa 2007, back when I just started blogging... back when I was as girly as possible and tagged so many times as the "Queen of Tutus". This is also probably the youngest and most playful looking outfit I have worn for quite some time. It is indeed a break from all the suits and business attires I have been sporting lately. More so, it is a breath of fresh air, and the color is just so very me.
It's nice to look back every once in a while and remember to stay young, even if life, and all its challenges, has the tendency to remove our rose colored glasses. Growing up is inevitable but maybe we should never lose the childlike optimism we had when we were younger. Granted we get knocked down, discover that not everything is a fairy tale, and stop checking for monsters under our bed because we realized they were inside us, there is something about believing that better things are to come... like how we used to when we weren't all grown up. Sometimes, a throwback to the good old days is a good way to refresh, reboot and realize, life can be simple. Really.
The thing is this: No matter what, once in your life, something (at best) will hurt you. That something will take all that you are, and rip it into pieces and no one would ever care to watch where all the pieces land. But through the breakdown, comes a breakthrough, you learn something about yourself. You'll learn that you are strong. And no matter how hard anyone or anything tries to destroy you, that you can conquer anyone.
Here's what I know: if you're willing to throw out all the caution you've learned to put up as walls to protect yourself, and take a chance and see the world with the wide eyed curiosity of when we were young, the view from the other side...is spectacular.

Visited Solaire for the first time and I loved it!!! It's a nice place---for someone who enjoys the casino. We had dinner at Strip Steakhouse which has good food, and great interiors.
Too bad I don't gamble!!!
