And the sky was made of amethyst
And all the stars look just like little fish
You should learn when to go
You should learn how to say "no,"
Peplum Top: Iconique | Skirt: Glitterati | Necklace: Frou Frou | Shoes: S&H | Bag: Vivienne Westwood
I decided to pair this peplum top with a full skirt this time. If you noticed, I usually wear my peplum tops with shorts or a tight fit bottom. However, I wanted to add a flair of sass and a 1950's appeal to the look so I went and whipped out my favorite pair of Glitterati cotton full high waisted skirts to complete the look. The blouse is of course, very versatile because aside from being peplum, it actually has two neckline cuts, a square neckline which I chose to be the back part of the outfit and this more conservative boat neck one, which I chose to wore for the day. I added a gray Baroque / Victorian looking neckpiece from another one of my favorite online brands, Frou Frou which magically went perfectly with my gray S&H strappy heels. The shoes were ultimately very comfortable and chic. I didn't want to go all matchy-matchy so I broke the monotony of the look with gray accents rather than white or purple. I got the look together with a plaid Vivienne Westwood purse, one of my first designer bags to ever get, which was circa 2004. (Vintage is love, right?)
What to say? Except that I am quite happier now and (finally) drama free and I guess that reflects with the very happy and joyful look of this outfit- what, with the peplum top and with the pop of color with the violet skirt. I have had a good time with good friends and a relaxing beach trip with loved ones which was a great refresher for me. I also decided to wear my hair down, this time and let it loose, straight rather than curled or wavy as I was in the mood to have a change for my look.
In other news, I am pleased to announce that my F.O.S.S.I.L. Dominique Tiu of http://www.konichiwear.com is officially and finally my partner for my clothing brand GLITTERATI. I have been inviting her for the longest time to partner up with me as I know she has a lot to contribute in building the brand and last week, we drew up the papers and made it legal and official. I cannot say how absolutely thrilled I am to be working with her because aside from being effective and efficient, I reckon we have the same intellectual capability to run a business together. (That plus she is practically family already). I cannot wait to share with you all the things we have stored for 2013. But before that, stay tuned for our Holiday 2012 Collection which we are launching at the SuperSale Bazaar from December 1-5 and then online, after. A lot of positive things happening right now, I for one, cannot wait!
