"To be somebody, you must last."
Borrowing a page from Darwin, I realized that in this tough environment and probably, unfortunately due to the rough road which paved the way to certain realizations I have had, that really, it is a dog eat dog world. Sad to say, but it's rough this game we call life and at the end of the day, it's all about the survival of the fittest.
Thus the theme for my outfit, it's themed in a certain Call to the Wilderness theme. I absolutely love leopard print and while it is certainly a deviation from the basics I would usually wear - I took a risk with this one, trust me and well, at the end of the day, I have to say, I liked the outcome. What can I say? Red + Leopard print apparently always works and I am glad to have taken the risk with this outfit.
I have always said, that life is tough--- we all need helmets, or protective gear at the very least. The thing is years and years of evolution have taught us to hang in there. We are trained to stick with a situation that a sane person would have probably given up on years ago. This persistence is, indeed, often a part of our insanity. We get so fixated on hanging in that we lose perspective and fail to see that it is our very persistence that may be exacerbating a sick situation. If we withdraw from the situation, we end up with two outcomes: we might have the opportunity to test our reality, or we might even be allowed to hit rock bottom and come out the other side.
Personally I accept the virtue of perseverance, I am probably the most stubborn person I know who keeps on pushing and who never gives up. But unfortunately, it is this dedication that affects our judgment and our ability to discern what is really need. We need to choose our battles wisely. It is vicious out there. In some situations, it is better to leave; in some it is important to persevere and in some. we just have to wait and see. The trick is to discern which is which. I think years and years of evolution has taught us when to step aside and when to move forward. Issues will never stop pouring in. After all, it is a jungle out there!
