Any Other Girl

Wearing a very casual look consisting of a plain white V-neck tee (a closet staple of mine) and rose printed skinny jeans just because I love anything pink and floral. If you have noticed, my obsession with ankle strap shoes is already quite apparent- I love them so much! And the good thing about these skinny jeans is aside from the girly print, it also is of the perfect length to still show my shoes and highlight the strap, something I am quite all for.

It was a chance, this outfit since I am very rarely in denim jeans and the one time I did decide to don a pair I opted to style the most casual way I could, but hey, we've got one life to live, sometimes, the simpler things are, the better.

"She wants to live life for once, but doesn't quite know what that means. Wonders if she's ever done it. If she ever will."
-Alice Walker

Most of us would like to live life fully, most of us like to believe we are living life fully. Yet when it comes to putting those words into practice, we are not quite sure how. We wonder if we know what living life fully really means, or if we have ever known.

Our temptation, and probably reflex, is to rush out and stock up on "how to" books. If we can just find the right book, we will know what to do. We have read enough so that we are pretty good at following directions. Or we start going to lectures and workshops. We try meditation, drumming, chanting, special diets, cleanses, special exercises or holistic therapies. Ultimately always looking outside ourselves for the formula and answers.

At some point, we need to realize that in spite of how good all these approaches are, we have to come back to the realization that only we know how to live our lives fully. We can accept guideposts but ultimately, living our lives is up to us.

  2. First of all I want to say fantastic blog!
I had a quick question that I'd like to ask if you don't mind.

I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing.
I've had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Kudos!
