Modern Military

All Clothes and Accessories by MANGO

The military beat goes on for fall as a plethora of army greens and uniform details climb the rank...proving to be one of the season’s strongest trends.  Mango takes on the trend quite exceptionally, I must say, in their Fall/Winter 2012 Collection. For fall 2012, the Spanish brand comes with a vast and versatile collection packed full with statement-making goods, perfect to give a cool update to dressing. From feminine and romantic to military and rock, Mango will see you through the chilly days ahead in style. The collection features asymmetrical dresses, biker jackets, jumpsuits, beautifully-printed pants, metallic jeans, white shirts, chic blazers, leggings, loose t-shirts, flirty blouses, shorts, elegant dresses, comfy sweaters, skirts, but also boots, shoes, clutches, belts, bracelets and necklaces. It's time to put your creativity to the test, try edgier looks and get ready to win the spotlight!

How to wear military:
Designed for a tough and tailored, edgy girl, collections referenced our armed forces in styling, shape, and color. Stiff and sturdy shapes in khaki and camouflage were standard issues and olive green separates and rugged brown leather accessories presented on the runways were reminiscent of a jungle war zone. For the case of Mango's Collection: Camo print anoraks, jackets and shorts with cargo pockets, and airman details like lacing and drawstrings put the finishing touches on collections fit for the battlefield.  To wear the trend: An olive green overcoat with cargo pockets feels on trend this season, or try a pair of combat boots to toughen up a flirty floral dress. Just don't go head-to-toe camo—a little bit goes a long way when assembling your modern uniform.

MANGO FALL/ WINTER 2012 LOOKBOOK and CAMPAIGN:
Supermodel Kate Moss teams up with Spanish brand Mango for its fall 2012 campaign. The British beauty previously starred in Mango’s spring and summer advertisements earlier this year. Captured in the studio, Kate exudes a rebelliously cool attitude in ripped denim, blazers and short-hemmed dresses.

Personally, I must say...

Army-inspired styles are a winning strategy especially in the fashion battlefield.
